Prefecture of Imathia- 2nd Local Workshop

Subject: Discussion among the Local Authorities, the assigned experts and representatives of potential eligible participants for the subprojects, concerning an update on the studies that are being held by the Prefecture of Imathia and declaration of interest for the forthcoming subprojects.

Contents:

11:30 Welcome and speech of Mr Dimitrios Papadopoulos – Perfecture of Imathia, Direction of Programming. He made a general review of MODELE. He emphasized that we are currently in the second level of the program and he analyzed the Eligibility of the subprojects participants as it was discussed in the Meeting of Rome and asked the participants to declare their interest in the forthcoming subprojects.

Mr. Ioannis Trohopoulos of the Puplic Library of Veria explained the purpose of the presence in this meeting, of the institution that he represents. He said that the "Public Library of Veria" is already a lead partner in an INTERREG project, and has both the technical knowledge and the experience in order to participate in subprojects.

Mrs. Fotini Psara of Atlantis spoke and analyzed the study for Component 4 and introduces the subproject called "The Enterpreneur's Ombudsman Office". Some conversation follows concerning the necessity of this kind of subproject among Mr. Orologas, Mr. Rodovitis, Mr. Trohopoulos and Mr. Papadopoulos. The discussion about Component 4 ends with the declaration of participation intention of the following institutions: Chamber of Imathia and Public Library of Veria.

Mr. Spyridon Chioteris in the terms of Component 2, spoke and analyzed the study of "Bic of Attica" that leads in 2 subprojects. The first is the "Integrated Supported Financial Methodology" and the second is the "Design of a Regional Fund of SME's Financing". In the second Subproject he states that in such an operation there is a need for adopting practices in order to be bridged the gap between the private and the public sector. The discussion about Component 2 ends with the declaration of participation intention of the following institutions: University of Macedonia, Economical Chamber of Imathia and ANHMA

Mrs. Dimitra Tsianaka of Eurotec spoke for Component 3 and analyzed the respective study titled "Strategic and operational plan for the Local support body (Network) targeted to the investment Attractiveness and Credit facilitation in the Prefecture of Imathia". She noted that the most forms of credit facilitations comes from a central mutual source. This one will differ because of its uniqueness and its adaption in the needs of our territory. The discussion about Component 3 finished with the declaration of participation intention of the following institutions: ANHMA, University of Macedonia, Library of Veria, Chamber of Imathia and Economical Chamber of Imathia.
