1. What does MO.DE.L.E. mean?

MO.DE.L.E. is an Interreg IIIC Regional Framework Operation meaning Modèle de developpement des systémes locaux pour le soutien des enterprises.

2. What does Regional Framework operation (RFO) mean?

A Regional Framework Operation is one of the three types of operations (with individual projects and networks) funded from INTERREG IIIC. It is composed of a group of regional authorities or equivalent bodies aiming at exchange of experience on methodology and project-based activities.

3. Who are the MO.DE.L.E. partners?

The Lead Partner of MO.DE.L.E. project is Basilicata Region. The other project partners are:  Inova Slovakia n.o., BIC for the Western Slovakia; Sociedad de Desarrollo de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, local development agency of Canary Islands (Spain); Prefecture of Imathia, NUTS III  Regional Administration of the Central Macedonia (Greece); Gobierno de Navarra, NUTS II Regional Administration of the Navarra Region (Spain); RDA Central Transdanubian, Regional Development Agency (Hungary).

4. What aims does MO.DE.L.E. pursue?

The main objective of  MO.DE.L.E. project is the spotting of new tools for the improving of enterprises and SMEs competitiveness  in three different fields: innovative finance, attraction of sustainable investments and planning of aid schemes. The new tools will be implemented by local planning systems. 

5. How will these aims be achieved?

The MO.DE.L.E. aims will be pursued through the transfer of best practises and  the spotting of innovative action implemented in the regional planning.

6. What are the output of MO.DE.L.E.?

The output are guidelines for planning 2007/13 on the three themes of MO.DE.L.E. project: innovative finance, attraction of sustainable investments and planning of aid schemes.

7. What results are expected?

The MO.DE.L.E. project intends to achieve the following results:

·        Favouring the access to credit for SMEs through new instruments of innovative finance.

·        Enhancing the attracting ability of investments compatible with local productive system.

·        Improving the effectiveness of public administrations in planning and managing Structural Funds.
